Welcome to In the Beginning, the Genesis study blog. I have been a student of the Bible ever since I was able to read, memorizing entire chapters as a child and turning to it for comfort and guidance all through my life. While I am not a theologian, I believe that I have a basic understanding of how the many parts of the Bible fit together to present a picture of who God is and how to relate to him.
I started this blog out of frustration over a lack of good material spanning the entire Bible, especially for beginners. My good friend David Mclaughlin at Voyageradio.com does have an excellent study guide entitled, "Voyage Through the Bible," that has a similar theme and was in part an inspiration for this series of websites.
If you are already a student of the Bible, please feel free to share what you have learned, comments will be moderated for content, but I welcome all sincere questions and ideas. If you enjoy what you see here, please leave a comment and help me promote the site so that many more people can be encouraged to study this most excellent book.
This site, and the others that I am planning to write, are designed to be followed from beginning to end to get a good overview, but feel free to use the information you find here as it best suits you. Give us a link when possible, thanks.
